| New Jack-Up “Sneferu” |  EDC has taken delivery of its new Jack up “Sneferu” on Thursday 28 January 2010 at 15:00 hrs Singapore time. “Sneferu” is a Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Jack-up Drilling Rig, built by PPL Shipyard Pte LTD in Singapore. Construction contract was signed on 31 August 2007. The Rig is powered by five Caterpillar 3516C generator sets, and equipped with a 3000 HP TTS Sense Drawworks, Canrig 1275 AC Topdrive, 18-3/4” 15K Cameron BOPs, Weatherford and NOV Iron Roughnecks, NOV D-495 Rotary Table, three E-2200-15 EWECO Mud Pumps, and three Baker Marine 2250 Deck Cranes with 140’ booms. |

| EDC Rig 56 commencement | EDC Rig 56 commenced drilling for Shell Libya Company on 7 December 2009. The area of operation is Salimah area, Libya. Rig 56 was built by Drillmec, Italy. | P-2022 and P-2028 Naming Ceremony | On Friday 4 December a grand ceremony was held at PPL Shipyard Singapore, where the Naming of P-2022 and P-2028 took place. EDC board members and spouses attended the ceremony, and Mrs. Hoda Korayem gave P-2022 the name Sneferu, while Mrs. Susanne Hemmingsen, lady sponsor of P-2028 named it Setty |

| P2028 in the water | EDC’s second new building at PPL Shipyard in Singapore, P-2028, was successfully launched on 5 October 2009 at 10.00 hrs, three months ahead of schedule. The Rig, a sister rig of P-2022, is a Baker Marine Pacific Class, capable of operating in 375 feet of water and drill up to 30,000 feet. Scheduled for delivery on 31 December 2009, and 31 July 2010, the two rigs are to be named in a joint ceremony that will take place on 4 December 2009. |

| EDC Rig 59 commenced operations | On 18 August 2009, EDC Rig 59 commenced operations for Hellenic Petroleum Company at 22.30 hrs spudding its first Well Pharos-1X located in West Obayd. The term of the contract is 20 months. EDC Rig 59 is a 2000HP rig, built by Drillmec. It has three Drillmec 12T1600 Mud Pumps and one Varco TDS-11A Top Drive. |

| P-2022 Launching |
EDC’s newbuilding at PPL Shipyard in Singapore P-2022 was launched on 9 May 2009 at 23:05 hrs.
The Rig is a Baker Marine Pacific Class, capable of operating in 375 feet of water and drill up to 30,000 feet.
The delivery is scheduled to take place on 31 December 2009.
