Cairo, Egypt - February 28, 2017: Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC) announced the appointment of Jeppe Nymann Jensen as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of EDC, effective February 2017.
Building on 40 successful years of strong and efficient operations with remarkable safety records, Jeppe will be responsible for leading and growing EDC’s portfolio of operations in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East.
Jeppe comes with vast experience from capital-intensive industries, with focus on strategic long term investment horizons and driving operational efficiencies in safe working environments. He has been with the A.P. Moller Maersk Group, the 50% shareholder of EDC, for 29 years of which the last ten have been with the Ports and Inland Services division, APM Terminals, where he previously held the position of CFO for Europe and North Africa, CFO and Director at Brazil Terminal Portuario SA; and his most recent role was CEO of APM Terminals activities in Jordan and CEO of Aqaba Container Terminals.

Jeppe comes from a background in Business Administration, with a specialization in Finance from Copenhagen Business School, and he holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.
