Omar Soliman
General Omar Soliman is a security professional with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the military and private sectors. He holds an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and a Bachelor of Military Sciences. Throughout his career, he has specialized in VIP close protection, crisis management, strategic operations, and large-scale event security.
Soliman previously served in the Egyptian Presidential Guard, holding senior roles including Vice President of the Police and Projects Branch, Commander in the Training Institute, and General Director of the Food & Beverages Department. His responsibilities ranged from executive protection for national and international dignitaries to managing strategic procurement, operational modernization, and elite officer training programs.
In the private sector, Soliman served as Director of Sports Events at African Security Group, overseeing security planning and execution for major sporting events in coordination with local and international stakeholders.
In November 2025, General Omar Soliman joined EDC as its Security Manager, bringing his extensive experience in protection strategy, crisis management, and operational leadership to support the company’s security framework.
